The verdict is still out!! My family of 5 seems to keep our washer and dryer on all day long!! We've managed to retire other brands in about 2-3 years.. repair costs add up justifying the virtually double the cost Speed Queen so hopefully the machines will stay operable for the long haul

Expensive, but I thought it would be worth it. The screen behind the drum on the interior of the unit is secured with sharp edged machine screw tops protruding into the interior. In each of the few loads I've dried (see my review of washer problems), at least one piece of clothing has been destroyed from abrading against these screw heads and having threads pulled out. It would have been simple to cap these heads with smooth metal. A $2400 dryer that rips clothing? Why? So incredibly avoidable.

After having Maytag appliances for years, Speed Queen was recommended by two different appliance repair people. Replacing both our washer and dryer, Speed Queen was one of the few that would work having our washer on the right and the dryer on the left. Been very happy with both our washer and dryer.

My Samsung dryer was taking multiple cycles to dry my clothes after only 4 years of use. The Speed Queen drys so fast! I can't believe how much time we were wasting doing laundry for a family of four! I recently had to dry a faux fur coat and I was worried I'd ruin it. What impressed me the most was the 'no heat' setting truly dried and fluffed it to perfection without hot temps.

The dryer is efficient and items dry well. My only suggestion would be to offer a glass door, similar to the washer. There are instances that I have opened the dryer door and found a load I left behind.

Waited 11 months for washer/dryer and received in September 2022, Washer great, but dryer VERY noisy from first load. First told it was the idler and that was switched out, but dryer not fixed. New motor has been ordered. Think we got a lemon?

This dryer does a good job drying but the laundry comes out very wrinkled and balled up so I have to run the cycle more than once to get the wrinkles out so bad for the environment.

The dryer did not come with the lint filter guard, I had to call and have it sent. Cloths want to fall out of the door when you open the dryer, never had that problem with my previous dryers. Overall, the dryer does a good job.

My machine errored out after only a couple of months usage. Repairman was able to reset. But part is on backorder. It ran for a couple of months ths. But errored out again. Now they won't come try to reset because Speed Queen won't pay them for another visit. Also no word on when the part will come in. So I paid a lot for the washer, yet still have to go pay at a laundromat with the poor people! Furthermore, it leaks when i washmy whites. Unacceptable.

I formerly owned a Fisher Paykel top loading dryer. for more than 12 years.
Speed Queen was recommended to me by a service repair man. I bought the top of the line
electric dryer. It comes with a 5 year warranty.
The only issue I have so far is that the dryer seems to run longer than necessary. I have checked the laundry items before the stop time
and removed them because the laundry was dry.
I pay close attention to the time that is remaining.
Other than that, I am happy with the results. My previous dryer had a removable lint container which was a very smart feature. I am very satisfied with Speed Queen's lint removal system. The drying time is not accurate- longer than necessary.

I bought an LG washer/dryer set from a big box store that had a 15 day return/exchange policy. The dryer was fine but the washer was noisy especially during the fill and drain cycles. I requested an exchange and a GE washer/dryer unit was brought out. It was actually worse than the LG. I requested a refund and they complied. In the meantime I was searching for a higher quality washer/dryer and ended up with the speed queen front loaders. The washer seems fairly robust although not as quiet as I was hoping for. I was a little more disappointed in the quality of the dryer, particularly the cheap tinny feel of the dryer door. For twice the price of a regular dryer I would have expected a dryer door of higher quality and one that actually matched the washer door. The dryer seems a bit noisier than the LG or GE I previously had. Plastic adjusting feet for the dryer was also very unimpressive for a dryer that costs this much. Not sure this dryer justifies double the cost of the other dryers out there. Time will tell.

Medium and hot cycles work fine but delicate cycle does not dry clothes on sensor setting. I have to use timed dry and even then I need to run it at least twice. We've had the motherboard and heat sensor changed which helped some.

This dryer is a replacement for a five year old Samsung. Have only used it for a couple weeks but the dryer is a pleasure. The old dryer balled everything up which resulted in multiple cycles. Then just quit on us. Very pleased, I waited four months but it was worth it.

I have the natural gas version of the dryer. It matches the FF7 washer which I purchased at the same time. I really love these machines ! Since I can do a large load in the washer, it's great that the dryer can handle such a large load as well. It's dried a thick queen sized comforter without any issues.

We have finally gone to Speed Queen after years of other brands and hearing how good Speed Queen is. Our last pair, a Korean brand sucked us in with flashy looks but gave us fits for the past 5 years so we just ordered these after talking to repair techs every time they came to fix our old ones. We just kept hearing "Speed Queen is what you want." So we got 'em. This dryer actually dries our pool and bath towels! It is built like a tank. Pricey? Yes, but you pay for quality. My dealer, a family owned company, actually services what they sell and are good people. This is more like the old way of doing business. If and when we move these units are moving with us. It's nice to get some Made in America solid machines again that work the way they are supposed to.

We were reacquainted with the Speed Queen Brand after our Maytag Washer of 20+ years gave up the ghost. So we were surprised to find a machine that cleaned our comforters better than our old machine certainly the spin cycle was amazing….resulting in less drying time and no damp comforter which made my wife happy….so when the Maytag dryer gave out. Naturally we went out and found the mate
for our washer. So far so good…..

We love our new gas dryer. The interior is much larger than the machine we replaced while the outside cabinet is smaller. That's a win, although the dryer seems to make more noise than our also-new SQ washer. My only complaint is that the door feels flimsy and sounds tinny when shut. On the plus side, and regarding what matters most, it dries very fast and is easy to use.
