1. I can't figure out how to turn the cycle over beep on. I have been through the manual and searched online.
2. Clothes come out damp unless I just use the 30/60 time and the Dry setting. Also, why just 30 or 60 minutes?
3. I like the build quality. Overall it is a very well built dryer.
I suppose that I could just turn the water line off and use the dryer as a dryer. The lack of an end-of-cycle notification is annoying. I don't know, maybe I should have just purchased a cheap dryer.

I don't get all that excited about purchases because most things are overpriced garbage. I brought a SQ washer and dryer for our second home. We have a big family and use the machines a ton. They are simple and made really well. They are absolute beasts. I am grateful that American made products like SQ are in the market. It gives me great hope!

I love my new Speed Queen Washer, but the matching dryer is a little disappointing. The biggest disappointment is the "Auto Sensing" feature, which does not fully dry all loads consistently; it seems to only work well on very light items; and I have the settings on "Regular" and "Dry", but in a load of clothing, some items come out damp and have to be redried. The "30 Min" setting will usually dry clothing fully, but a small load of towels will come out damp and have to be redried. I haven't found a good use for the "Steam Boost" feature. So basically, this very expensive dryer has only one reliable setting for getting all clothes fully dry, and that is the "60 Min" setting. It's unfortunate there is not a "timed" dry where the user can set something other than 30 or 60 mins. Additionally, I find the door to be somewhat flimsy compared to the sturdiness of all other parts of the dryer & washer. At least 1 out of every 10 loads, the dryer will stop immediately after starting; and I have to open the door and restart the dryer. Once the clip in the door dislodged itself into the clip opening, and I had to remove & reset it in the clip opening; luckily, that problem has not recurred. At this price point, I'm disappointed in the performance and limited functionality of this dryer. It's getting the clothes dry eventually, but unfortunately, there have been too many glitches to give the dryer a 4 or 5 star rating.

WE were disappointed with we paid for the best and the installers ran for 30 min and left. when we tried would not get hot. We had a brand new dryer and could not use for a week after waiting two weeks. The the solenoid gas valve was not opening. We asked for a new dryer since we have little faith in this one, and was told no. We got the part another week later and now working but expect better. Also your authorized dealer was less than helpful despite multiple phone calls for the product. And to add to the speed frustration our 2.5 year ol speed queen washer waiting for a correct diagnosis Therefore that was out 3 weeks and finally the dx was a faulty water inlet valve.

My ex-wife and I had a Speed Queen washer and dryer when we were married 40+ years ago. I have owned other brands since then. After a 35+ year hiatus, I recently purchased a Speed Queen washer and dryer to replace the units which came with my house when I bought it about six years ago. I can tell you that Speed Queen hasn't missed a beat over that 35/40 year period. Beautifully made appliances that get my clothes sparkling clean and dry in no time. So glad I bought Speed Queen appliances!

I've been experiencing that the dryer has been leaving black marks on laundry. The marks appear to have the same shape in most instances. I don't know what is causing that. I've wiped down the inside of the dryer numerous times. Other than that, I wish you could adjust the timed dry cycle more than just 30 or 60 minutes. I know that nothing is perfect, but the black marks are very disappointing.

Lint was all over the clothing. Some pieces now ruined. SQ rep said limit detergent to 1 T. No softener or dryer sheets. Followed recommendations. Amount of lint on the clothing has improved but still present.

I have gone through 3 washing machines when I bought two other name brands. The last one was only two years old when it quit. So, after a lot of research, I bought a Speed Queen. I LOVE IT! It cleans my clothes in a shorter time than the last one. There is no lid lock which is great. I went ahead and bought the matching dryer.

This will last the rest of my life! (I'm 60) I had my Maytag for 25 years. And the folks at Manweiler told me to get a speed queen 5000. Well worth the cost! The washer takes a mirror 27 minutes to finish a big cycle. And the dryer is phenomenal. Best purchase I've made in a long time.

I purchased the matching washer and dryer less than 2 years ago. Since then I have had to call for service multiple times for the dryer and the washer has been beeping randomly while not in use. Since it was not beeping at the time the service tech arrived, nothing was done. They said I needed a recording of beeping events for them to return since they didn't hear it. The machines are not nearly as well made and efficient as advertised. Thankfully they both are under warranty for 5 years, but it is extremely inconvenient to be calling for service so many times. I planned to have this set for many years, but based on performance so far, it is doubtful they will live beyond the warranty period.

I already have the Speed Queen washer which is the greatest washing machine made! My daughter even took my advise and purchased one. Therefore when my old dryer starting making weird noises it was time to get a matching Speed Queen dryer. It's heavy duty, I love the interior light and I'm sure it'll last longer than anything else out there.

Very well built gas dryer. I love the lint trap design, very easy to clean. Auto sensing is not very good. I don't know if it's the position of the sensing elements or the actual function. My 36 year old Kenmore 70 series gas dryer, without using the sensing elements, worked much better by monitoring the temperature of the exhaust air. I love the ability to remove wrinkles with the steam function.

Love this dryer. Bought as a set with a TC5. The lint trap is honestly one of my favorite parts. On our old machine you had to remove the trap to clean it and inevitably lint would fall back into the exhaust. My only slight quibble is that I wish the selection dial was a simple no-heat, low, medium, high rather than using "delicate," "permanent press," etc. Explaining to my kids that "permanent press" means medium was amusing though.

Does not dry as well as my older model ADG4BRGS111TW01 that I couldn't get replacement parts for.
I don't like that the only timed cycle offered is either 30 or 60 minutes with nothing in between. My clothes come out more wrinkled even when using the wrinkle out cycle. My older model could dry a large load of clothes without them being a wrinkled mess!

I am very pleased with my new Speed Queen dryer. My clothes seem to come out less wrinkled, which I'm enjoying. My goal was to have a simple, easy to use machine, resembling those of days gone by. Happy with its simplicity! One thing I must mention. The dry (auto) setting does not completely dry my clothes. I now use the timed dry which is perfect. However, there are only 2 choices: 30 or 60 minutes. My laundry is dry in 40-45 minutes. So, I must set a timer to go stop the dryer on the 60 minute cycle. Other than that, all is well.

We purchased a washer last year, and it seemed great not fancy but expected it to last at least 10 or more years, it died today and service isn't going to show for 6 days , maybe.
Dryer is occasionally not drying all the way , but hopefully it won't give us fits later on like the washer.

So far it's been good. Although, I am disappointed because I thought I was getting the dryer with timed settings to choose from. So, now when it needs more drying time, I have to keep coming back to check it, because I only have a 30 min and 60 min timer. The drying time isn't as quick as I thought it would be, and there are already 'stains' in my dryer.
I probably should've chosen the one with all of the buttons to choose from, which I'm used to. I do regret going so simple-I guess my expectations were way higher than I anticipated it to be.

Haha! My Whirlpool washer went out, and I hate mismatched washer/dryer in the back door utility room (the most used entrance to our house). I went with Speed Queen in matte black. The pair looks very elegant and actually upgrades the look of the utility room. I LOVE my washer and have no complaints for the dryer. I appreciate the easily accessible lint trap and the steam feature. I had never used a 'sensing dry' feature - just always guessed and set the timer. This dryer has only a 30 min or a 60 minute dry and since I usually dried for 20-45 minutes, I'm using the sense dry feature and a couple times the 'almost dry'. Again, no complaints.

I have had the dryer for over a month now, and I really like it. I do wish it had settings for timed drying over 30 minutes, it has 30 or 60, and I really need 40, so I will run the 30, take out some of the dried clothes, then run the rest! I make do because that's how I am, but it should be something you should consider in your newer products!

I really do love this dryer. The best feature is the pet hair remover which I use almost daily. It takes the pet hair off of clothes and bedding very well without heating. This is an excellent machine and it dries everything evenly and efficiently. When my washer dies, I will definitely be purchasing a Speed Queen.

It's very touchy on drying. there is no in between either the clothes stay damp or it heats up so high everything shrinks. The pet hair feature is for dirty clothes before you wash them, so I don't even use that as I don't put dirty items in a dryer that's intended for clean clothes. Wish I'd asked a few more questions and then I wouldn't have bought this unit there's nothing super special about it, and it's got less drying options. The inside drum isn't holding up that great, again assuming inferior metals are used to cut corners.

The dryer sounds like a freight train .. I called the 800 number for Speed Queen and they told me that that was common with that model. My 15 year old dryer never sounded like that. I should have kept my old one!!

It is a learning curve after having the other big brands out there. It does not seem like the dryness sensor works as well as other brands do. when using auto the clothes are still damp. But when using the time dry it works great
